You do not want to miss the 2019 Alabama Free Will Baptist State Convention!  This year’s annual meeting promises to be something different for our state.  First, the date is different.  Instead of the normal November dates, this year it will be held May 9-11, 2019.  The location has been changed, too.  The Hyatt Regency in Hoover, AL will be our venue.  The hotel is connected to the Riverchase Galleria on the southside of Birmingham.  The schedule is different, also.  The business sessions will end on Friday morning, but the ministry events are not over until after the joint service on Friday night, and the youth competition on Saturday. In addition, the direction and intent of the meeting has been adjusted.  The redesigned meeting will major on our future, our fellowship, and our focus as an association.

Convention Speakers

Dr. Robert Picirilli of Nashville, TN will be our keynote speaker, addressing the attendees three times on Thursday. A native of South Carolina, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Welch College and a master’s and Ph. D. from Bob Jones University. Dr. Pic, as he is affectionately known, was a professor of New Testament studies and Greek at Welch for over 50 years. The author of several books, he is considered one of the most respected and influential scholars and theologians among FWB’s.
