DR. NEIL GILLILAND

A native of Ohio currently residing in Nashville, TN, Dr. Gilliland serves as Director of Member Care and Mobilization for International Missions. Having served as a missionary, house parent, and counselor, he has a unique perspective of ministry. Bro. Neil is the author of A View from Grief’s Window, published in 2020 by Randall House. He and his wife Shelia have one daughter.

PASTOR DANIEL EDWARDS

Pastor Edwards is a newcomer to Alabama, originally from Virginia Beach, VA. A graduate of Gateway Christian College, he has served as Pastor of Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Chandler, IN since 2005. He is also the Promotional Director for Indiana Free Will Baptists. Bro. Daniel serves on the National Executive Committee and the Media Commission. He and his wife, Nicole, have two children.

PASTOR MIKE DANKSON

Alabama’s own Mike Dankson will bring the opening message on Thursday morning.
A graduate of Welch College, Bro. Dankson is a veteran pastor serving in Alabama, Tennessee, and Missouri. He is presently Pastor of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Sylacauga (Oak Grove). He and his wife Debbie have been blessed with five daughters.

JON FORREST

Bro. Forrest currently serves as the Youth Pastor at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church in Ashland City, TN. A graduate of Welch College, he is a frequently requested speaker at youth events and board member of the Pleasant View Christian School. Jon is author of Help! My Games Stink and Fight Like Your Life Depends on It. He and his wife Carrie have one daughter, Ellie.

The high point of the 2019 convention was the Friday night Multi-Generational Worship Service, where adults and youths of all ages participated in praise and preaching. Bro. Forrest will join Bro. Gilliland after this service once again for a time of fun and laughter.

PASTOR JASON MILLER

A familiar face for Alabama Free Will Baptists, Bro. Miller is Pastor of Corinth Free Will Baptist Church in Midland City, AL, where he has served for over 15 years. He will join us once again for this year’s convention serving in the role as Moderator.
